Something new from my sketchbook:
I have this stack of postcards I’ve collected from various Museums of artwork I’ve had the pleasure of briefly sharing company with. I’ve started using them in my sketchbook and even in my workshops. There’s something that feels kind of wrong about making a John Singer Sargent masterpiece my own, but in the same way, it totally satisfies my inner-rebel. I’ll share more about this process in my next post. 🙂
I love the way Lady Macbeth is holding the crown over her head. She doubts her worthiness, and rightly so if I remember the story correctly. If you let go of Shakespeare’s intent and just look at the image on its own it speaks of stepping into Divine Feminine Power. For some of us, myself included, this is hard to do. It takes a lot of trust in yourself and the Universe. I especially love all the yellow in this image. It really makes my Solar Plexus chakra light up! When you can’t find empowerment around you, seek it from within.
Go get yourself some by creating it! I trust you to use it responsibly.

I love it. Yellow always does the same thing for me. I just finished sparonlashing bits of yellow all around the house!
