When autumn arrives and all the other young groundhogs have left the den to dig dens of their own, as young groundhogs do, Hope has other ideas, like staying right where she is! Mama gently pushes her out of the den and closes the door. Hope is not happy, but soon realizes that only one thing makes her feel better, digging… as young groundhogs do.
