When an animal appears in your life, whether through images, stories, dreams, or in the flesh, and you suddenly take notice of it, there may be a personal message being delivered. Last week I taught another Animal Totem Workshop. Each time I facilitate this class, a new Continue reading →
The truth is that, everything always comes back to the circle. The circle represents Infinite Potential. It’s the beginning and the end in one fluid form. It’s the shape of our planets, our sun, and it’s everywhere we look, when we open ourselves to receive. It’s the first lesson I will teach any student or class. It’s the introduction to my work, it’s the introduction to who you really are:
May we never forget that we are all one. Continue reading →

I just finished up this guy: Thoth, the ancient Egyptian God of Writing, Wisdom, Magic, and the Moon. I was first introduced to him back in the 90s when I was in Egypt. My favorite form of his is the baboon, though I may try drawing him as the Ibis-headed man next. Feel free to share this image on your social media. Spread some Thoth love. Feel into some Thoth energy today. If a nugget of inspiration comes your way, be sure to write it down. If you can’t find the words, then doodle it out. Think of it as a gift from Thoth.

What does anger feel like? This is the question I’ve been asking myself and others as I have been working on a book and online course that helps people to express anger in safe and healing ways. The image that kept coming up again and again was the star.
Stars have a massive amount of energy inside of them. There is potential for heat, radiation, even a supernova explosion if a star continues to become more and more unstable. On the flip side of this anger (which is a manifestation of hostile energy), there is Continue reading →
Red hot? Lava-like? Thorny, like a ball covered in spikes?

I’ve been asking this question a lot lately, trying to get to the root of it. Anger is like a star. It sits in your tummy and when everything is going okay, you don’t even notice it. But as soon as you perceive a threat, the star begins to change. The shifts may begin in a subtle way. A strange poking here and there caused by the points of the star. If it is not addressed, it will begin to dig harder, like a thorn in the skin. Everything you do, every interaction you have, it’s there, just under the surface, waiting to Continue reading →

Happy Earth Day! Today I had the pleasure of facilitating a Creativity Class at Carefree Senior Apartments. We focused on sending love energy from within out to our home planet Earth. What better way to express our love for our home planet than by creating an upcycled mandala out of recycled magazines, right? Continue reading →
You can’t walk a few feet without seeing one around my neighborhood right now. Their cheerful little heads atop long thin stems bobbing joyfully like little yellow flags in the breeze. They seem to shout out to everyone who passes by, “Hey! Look at me! Wheee!” They are wild and their lives may be short, but together they have the capacity to brighten this dry desert landscape. Their very existence proves that even under the harshest of environments, there is beautiful bubbling life, just waiting for the perfect conditions in which to burst forth. Continue reading →
This morning I am allowing myself to sit still quietly… observing. Watchful like the owl in the night, patiently awaiting an impulse to act. Open to all possibilities, half in dream and half awake, silently shifting between the inner and outer worlds. Surrounded by an abundance of inspiration, I delight in the stillness of my own carefully cultivated patience. Continue reading →
