What Inspires You?

What inspires you? What is it that gets you all excited about starting a new project or creating something in your life? Can you narrow it down to a few words? Inspiration comes from so many sources. It is all around you! If you could just open your eyes and see it, you would know that inspiration is everywhere and in every thing.

Some of you may know that I’ve been holding Creating Workshops at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission this past year. Working with the clients in addiction recovery there has been one of the most amazing and rewarding experiences of my life and I just wanted to tell you a little more about it.

Every day, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission feeds 1,000 people who are either homeless or in need. People begin to line up at the doors of the cafeteria hours before they open. Turn off the Box and Switch on the Creating

I know, I’m guilty. I know what it means to binge a Netflix series. Just because I don’t have a TV, doesn’t mean I don’t watch TV. Confession over. Truth is… I have been working very hard on my book, Vitalize Your Creative Life. As of late, I am spending every free moment I have visualizing, illustrating, writing, and rewriting this creation of mine. It is becoming a real thing and it seems to have taken on a life of its own. I was just reminded as I looked at the license plate of my car this morning, what I have not been doing. I have not been watching TV. For ten years I have been looking at the license plate on my car. It starts with a few numbers, not even sure what they are, and then there are three letters. (This is not a vanity plate). The letters are T V Y. This is what I am thinking of right now. TV. Why? People always think they don’t have time to create. If you are watching TV, you have time to create.
