A Friday Art Deviation

JeremielSM

This week has been pretty intense. I have been processing a lot of internal shifts as the circumstances of life change around me. The Archangel Jeremiel came to me strongly as we entered the month of June. This painting is a bit different than how I usually draw, but in a lot of ways it was very freeing to create without censoring what came through. I will show you the phases of the image so as to explain how it just kind of made its way onto the paper. I consider this intuitive painting. I often teach this method of creating art in my workshops. It focuses on freeing yourself creatively by trying new things and playful experimentation.

Isn’t she radiant?

Shaylee was inspired by all you kids out there who are learning how to SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! I am so proud of each and every one of you. Speaking clearly and passionately about what is most important to you is not something that comes naturally to all of us. I am one of those people. I am an adult who has felt silenced over the years due to my own fears of rejection, and I am learning through your example, what it means to speak my own truth through my creative expression. I gladly allow the youth of the world to show me the way. This one is for all of you young ones who need a little encouragement to stand up and be heard, too.

Standing up and cheering you on,

Bonnie

A Gift of Healing

For the remainder of the year I will be offering “Graceful Transformation: A Healing Coloring Journey” at a discounted price. This interactive coloring book for adults was developed from a creativity workshop with participants in addiction recovery. It was our collective intention that this book would be used to help others heal from past trauma and pain through mindful creating.

Is Your Creative Life Worth Fighting For?

Two Brains

How much time do you spend watching TV? This image appears on page 27 of my book Vitalize Your Creative Life. I stand by this graphic and the message it conveys. I also freely admit that I am a TV binger and lifelong TV addict. By the word “TV” I mean the effortless preoccupation of my brain by programmed sounds and videos on a screen (of any size) while the remainder of my body remains relatively inactive. In part I had no choice. I grew up with TV. I am the product of an early generation exposed to a now common type of addiction. Continue reading

Mapping Your Next Nine-Year Cycle

Mapping The Nines

Happy New Moon! This is a special New Moon, because it is the last one in 2016, ever! This means we are given an opportunity to set a powerful new intention for not only the next lunar cycle, but also the next year and the next nine-year cycle. No pressure, right?

Recently, I’ve been exploring my past nine-year cycles. I put it in writing, too. There is an undeniable spiritual shift that occurs when you write stuff down. Suddenly thoughts will begin to creep their way into the real world. I started this exercise by writing each year 2008 – 2016. Then I wrote as much as I could remember of what happened in each year—places I went, adventures I had, people who I relied on for support, and feelings I felt. After I wrote a few sentences for each entry, I chose a theme that summed up the feeling of the year for me. For example, in 2009 I struggled with infertility issues. I themed that year Continue reading

Dear Diary, What Are You Waiting For?

dearDiary

September 22, 2015

Dear Diary,

Today I realized that I need to spend more time writing. Because when I write I have a way to clarify my thoughts and well, let’s face it, you know my thoughts are usually all over the place! When my thoughts are clarified through my writing, I suddenly realize that there’s something there worth sharing… and when I share my clarified thoughts, I provide inspiration and motivation to others. I help them! When I help people, I feel good. I also realize that my blog is the best platform for this sort of sharing right now. Since I have this amazing career where I get to help people to realize their creative potential and understand how to allow this power to influence their everyday life at any given time or place and how that power expands their capacity for living happier and more fulfilled lives, I suddenly have so much important stuff to share! My vision is beyond just helping my paying clients… My vision is to help anyone out there, anyone who is willing Continue reading

Set Your Intentions on Fire!

New Moon Creating Ritual

Paying attention to the cycles of nature can greatly support your creative life. The monthly orbit of the moon around the earth is one of the most obvious of nature’s cycles. The moon itself has long been held as a symbol of creativity. By respecting and working with the cycles of the moon you can infuse its power into your creating abilities.

The New Moon is the part of the moon’s cycle when the earth is blocking the light from the sun. It is a time of fertility. When you pant a seed, you push it into the earth, where no light can reach it. Here is the place it needs to be in order to germinate and become a living thing. Likewise, when the moon is at its darkest, that is when it is time to plant the seeds of our intentions. By performing this New Moon Ritual, you will be able to clarify your intentions and put the power of the creative moon behind them. Watch as they manifest for you throughout the month. You should take the ritual seriously, but at the same time, have fun with it. Be creative! You can use my suggestions as guidelines, while at the same time finding creative ways to honor your unique creative power.

Initiation

We will start by lighting a candle. Lighting a fire is a metaphor for initiation. It helps draw your focus and the focus of your guides to this present moment. Sit and reflect for a few minutes about what you are grateful for in your life. Then, reflect on what could make your life better or more enjoyable than it already is. Perhaps you want to start a new project and are seeking a positive result. Perhaps you want to improve on a relationship or address a health concern. Continue reading
